AlexAlexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player is a striker with San Diego Wave FC (NWSL) and is captain of the San Diego Wave FC. She was also the co-captain for the United States women's soccer team from 2018 through 2020 alongside Megan Rapinoe and Carli Lloyd. [8][99 Morgan was drafted as the number one player in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she completed her degree early at the University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. She made her debut at the club and helped the team win their league championship. Morgan was 22 at the time and was the youngest player on the national team at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011. The team came in second. Morgan scored the game-winning goal against Canada in the semi-final match during the 2012 London Olympics. The 2012 season ended with 21 goals and 28 assists, and Mia Hamm was the only American woman to score 20 and 20 goals. It made her the sixth-youngest U.S. player ever to reach 20 goals in one season. Following her selection as the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the year Morgan was also an FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan played a key role in the United States winning their titles during the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups and 2019. She was selected for the Dream Team and won the Silver Boot in 2019.
