Jana Kramer gained fame as an actress, singer of country music and songwriter when she appeared in the series One Tree Hill. She played Alex during three of the last four seasons. The series featured her first albums as country music which helped her debut album to the Billboard 200 to the Top 20. Thirty One, her follow-up album from 2015, reached into the Top Ten. Over the past decade, she was a guest on Dancing with the Stars as she did in TV films and several TV shows. The singer also released a few singles that weren't albums. In 2021, the self-doubting Voices came out. Jana Rae Kramer was born and raised in Rochester Hills Michigan. She spent her childhood listening to music from the country genre and later went on to explore a career in recording. However, she began her acting career as a teenager in 2002's indie horror movie Dead/Undead. Guest spots on TV shows like All My Children and CSI: NY followed over the following years, until she landed the part in Noelle Davenport on NBC's Friday Night Lights during the show's second season from 2007 to 2008. Kramer next appeared in 90210 in the role of Portia Randson in 2008 through 2009 as well as Brooke Manning for Entourage 2009. Then in 2009, she was part of One Tree Hill's cast in the role of Alex Dupre. Kramer remained in the character until the middle of the final season One Tree Hill. In October 2015, Kramer dropped her debut album thirty One from Warner Music Nashville. It was boosted by her Top Five country song I Got the Boy as well as a duet with Steven Tyler from Aerosmith. The album climbed to three places in the Billboard 200 country charts and at number 10 on the Billboard 200. The two-month stint on Dancing with the Stars 23rd season ended in her placing fourth. That same year she had a hit adult contemporary track with Straight No Chaser's Feels like Christmas.
