Awkwafina

Awkwafina has been described as an American actor and performer who made her name with innovative raps which addressed gender and ethnic identities from a a boldly comic perspective. She then expanded to Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese as well as Korean parents who hail from Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was her first instrument. Additionally, she was given Jazz and classical training before when she began to explore hip-hop as a teenager. In the school, she focused on women's studies and journalism. She was also a student of Mandarin during a time in Beijing. Her focus shifted to music once she completed her degree. In 2012, My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an internet hit and was included in her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also included viral hits such as the body positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown New York Bitche$. The single that debuted was is directly linked to the album Awkwafinas NYC, her travel guide for 2015. She decided to pursue a career as an actor following the completion of her previous two endeavors, author and musician. Apart from the early television shows such as Girl Code and Tawk, she has also been featured in movies including Neighbors2Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018, she landed a number of notable roles that were a breakthrough, like Dude Ocean's 8 or Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she debuted her new EP "In Fina We Trust".
